As of today Hospital Rivierenland uses HiX as its EMR/EHR. The hospital replaces eleven subsystems with one innovative and fully integrated electronic medical record system. HiX boosts efficiency, security and improves cooperation with patients and other healthcare institutions.

Integrated digital environment

HiX provides Hospital Rivierenland with a fully integrated digital environment. The electronic healthcare record offers a complete solution to seamlessly support the treatment and registration process of patients within the workflow. Since HiX is available for both stationary and mobile devices, healthcare professionals have access to all required information at any time. HiX also enables patients to contribute to their healthcare through the new online patient portal.

Registration kiosks

Patients at Hospital Rivierenland can now register appointments through kiosks located in the hospital's central lobby. The kiosks confirm the identity of the patient by simply scanning an ID card (e.g. passport or driver's license). Patients then receive a printed copy with the appointments' information.

Personal patient portal

The new patient portal enables patients to look into their personal medical records at home, which includes appointments, results, and messages. Patients are also able to communicate with their doctor or physician or reschedule appointments.

Data information exchange

HiX makes it easier for doctors to include patients in their treatment. In addition, the innovative EMR/EHR enables data to be transferred between care institutions in a safe manner. The use of transfer protocols ensures a secure and clear method of communication.
